Caribou Applicant AI Guidelines
This is a guide of when and how to leverage AI tools when applying and interviewing with Caribou. When applicable, Caribou may encourage you to leverage AI tools as part of the interview process.
What:
At Caribou, we leverage AI tools in a meaningful way in our day to day work. Here is when and how to use AI tools when applying or interviewing with Caribou.
How to leverage AI during each interview stage:
Application:
When applying to Caribou, please create your resume, cover letter or any other application materials yourself. You are then welcome to leverage AI to make improvements to your application materials.
Example prompt: “Please review my resume and the job description. Identify the experiences I should highlight in my cover letter that align most with the job requirements.”
Live Interviews:
We want to assess you and your authentic thought process in real time. No AI assistance unless we indicate otherwise.
At-Home Coding or Case Studies:
Complete these assessments independently without AI assistance unless otherwise directed by your interview prep materials from Caribou. We want to ensure we assess your authentic self and skillsets.
Caribou AI Approach
To ensure our interview process is as fair and efficient as possible, Caribou may leverage AI-powered recruitment tools to help with certain administrative functions. Here is how it may affect your application:
Interview Summaries: We may leverage automated transcription tools during virtual interviews to generate notes. This allows our interviewers to focus entirely on talking with you rather than typing.
No Automated Rejections: We do not use automated decision-making software to reject candidates without human review. Every application and interview assessment is evaluated directly by a member of our recruiting team or hiring panel.
